After Commanders pulled off their massive upset against the Lions yesterday, and the Eagles beat the Rams in the snow today, the NFC Championship match up is set. Commanders @ Eagles: Sunday January 26th at 3:00pm.
The Commanders have played the Eagles twice so far this year, first coming in the middle of Washington’s 3 game losing skid in Week 11. The second coming in Week 16 when Jayden Daniels’ walked off the game in the final seconds with a passing touchdown to Jameson Crowder.
In the first match up the Commanders were as weak as ever, as Jayden Daniels was dealing with his rib injury, the entire offensive line dealing with injuries, and Marshon Lattimore was out. It was also a short week so the Commanders needed to get ready to play after four days. The Eagles won that game 26-18.
In the second match up the Eagles QB Jalen Hurts got ruled out of the game in the first half with a concussion. The Commanders went on to win that game 36-33, despite turning the ball over 5 times.
For the third time both teams are dealing with some injuries, but both Quarterbacks should be ready to go.
I expect this game to be tight, and Vegas thinks so too, placing the spread at Eagles -4.5. It should be a fun one, a clash of the NFC East in the NFC Championship.
