The Commanders stomp all over the Panthers through all angles of the game to improve to 5-2.

The most important takeaway from today’s game is the health of the franchise rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels. He left the field after the Commanders first drive of the game and did not return.

He left the game with a rib injury, went to the locker room for X-Rays and returned to the sideline with a smile on his face.

His mother and agent Regina Jackson didn’t let the Commander’s fanbase go uninformed as she tweeted saying, “He’s fine #httc.”

Beside the Daniels’ injury, the Commanders played a very good game. The defense set the pace as Dante Fowler got pick-six on the first drive of the game.

Fowler continued to impress throughout the entire game ending with a sack and a TFL to add to the pick-six.

The defense held the Panthers scoreless for the first three quarters of the game. Emmanuel Forbes came down with a interception, his first since week 2 of last year.

The Panthers were held to under 100 rushing yards and 100 passing yards.

Jayden Daniels left his mark in the game with a 47 yard run on the Commanders first play. Then Marcus Mariota came in the game and did not slow down any momentum. He finished the game with 205 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Another dominate game on the ground as the Commanders ended the first quarter with north of 100 yards rushing. By the end of the game they had over 200.

Brian Robinson made his comeback and was impressive along with Jeremy McNichols.

As far as some takeaways and questions from today’s game:

Hopefully Jayden Daniels is ready for next weeks game against the Bears. Missing out on a Jayden Daniels vs Caleb Williams would be horrible.

Defense played their best game, granted it was against a bad Panthers offense.

Do we go out and trade for a cornerback? Jaycee Horn?

Commanders now have the best point differential in the league (+66).

Commanders now prepare for next weeks game against the Bears at 4:25pm.
