Commanders opened Today’s game against the Browns as a 3.5 point favorite. Today the Commanders won 34-13.

In the last 3 weeks leading up to this game the Commanders played against mediocre-to-bad defenses, but the Browns started the game as the 7th ranked defense (via PFF).

There was a lot of noise that Jayden Daniels would not be able to keep up his level of play against a good defense. But saying that he didn’t even have to see the field in the 4th quarter, and that he led the offense to 34 points with 320 total yards and a 41 yard yard touchdown, I think that he shut up those criticisms.

But Jayden Daniels also had a lot of help from his weapons. Brian Robinson punched in 2 touchdowns. Austin Ekeler had 97 total yards including a 50 yard run. Dyami Brown was the recipient of a 41 yard touchdown, and had 57 yard play.

Another impressive factor was the Defense. After being the literal worst defense in the league through the first 3 weeks, they have held the opponents to only 27 points in the last 2 weeks. They also racked up 2 fumbles and 11 sacks in the last two weeks. 1 fumble and 7 sacks coming from today’s game.

Frankie Luvu has been bursting into a star in these last two games. Bobby Wagner has been steadily holding down the middle of the field. Our secondary was playing great today, after being burnt toast for the first couple of weeks. Impressive stat of the week: Commanders held the Browns offense to 1-13 on 3rd down.

The Commanders continue to build up their stock, and the fans are BUYING.

I would give little run through of the flow of the game but it was never even close so I’ll save some characters.

Commanders go back on the road to take on the Ravens in the Battle of the Beltway next Sunday at 1pm on CBS. A major test against a great QB and a great defense. Lets go Commanders!
