Bengals go down as Jayden Daniels and Washington’s offense score a insane 38 points en route to a 38-33 win on Monday Night Football.

What Washington fans were waiting for, Jayden Daniels shows out, proving himself yet again, this time in prime-time. Against a [supposed to be] premier team in the league Daniels put up 254 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 39 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and went 21/23 (91.13% completion percentage a rookie record for games with 20+ passes) passing with a plethora of highlight-worthy plays.

The offense around Jayden Daniels matched his energy. he was consistently given clean pockets allowing him to draw out plays, and we finally started to see our receiving core start to cook. Terry McLaurin ended the day with 4 receptions, 100 yards, and 2 humongous plays. Luke McCaffrey and Noah Brown were super visible on the offense, and Zach Ertz was the ultimate security blanket. The rushing game was productive as well beside Daniels, Austin Ekeler broke open a 24 yard rushing touchdown and a 63 yard kick return, before being ruled out with a concussion. Brian Robinson didn’t have a very productive day, with 16 rushes for only 33 yards, but he was effective in the 3rd and short and read-option-game as well.

With all that being said the Washington defense did show many of flaws in tonight’s game. Both teams ended with 0 turnovers and 0 punts, a first time that happened in a NFL game since 1940. They let up 2 different deep touchdowns to Ja’marr Chase, and could not stop the Bengals on third down. They also didn’t get any help from Joe Burrow, who consistently put balls where only the Bengals receivers could get it.

Luckily, unlike later years, the offense was able to outproduced the other teams. The Washington 38 points was the most scored since Thanksgiving in 2020 against the Cowboys, and they did it with no turnovers.

The Commanders now improve to a 2-1 record and stay atop the NFC East, whilst the Bengals drop to 0-3 despite only having a point differential of -12 in those games.

Sleep well commanders fans.
